1. Omaxe City project was started by Omaxe Ltd in 2005. Gradually the owners started taking possession of their property and started shifting in 2010. For the purpose of providing maintenance services, Omaxe Ltd hired Shanvi Estate Management Services (Pvt) Ltd. While Omaxe continued with their responsibility of completing the project, Shanvi was assigned to provide five services namely, water supply, common area electricity, security, housekeeping and horticulture.
2. With the passage of time a number of issues started cropping up between Omaxe/Shanvi and the residents. It was, therefore felt necessary that a Society be formed which can become a registered body to liaise with Omaxe Ltd and Shanvi to safeguard the interests of the residents and to ensure their welfare. It was also required to monitor the completion of the project and ensure that adequate and timely maintenance services are provided to the residents of Phase-1. Besides other grievances, there is considerable delay in completion of development work as well infrastructure on the part of Omaxe Ltd. A case, in this regard is currently in progress in the Consumer Forum, Jaipur.
3. With this objective, Omaxe City Residents’ Welfare Society Phase-1 (OCRWS Phase-1) was formed and registered with the Registrar of Societies on 23rd June 014. The Society Registration Number is 201/Jaipur/2014-15. The Bylaws of the Society also came into effect from the same date. The Bylaws have been revised with effect from 1st April 2018. 4. The members constituting the first Governing Body were nominated from amongst the residents. The first election for the eleven-member Governing Body was held in December 2014 for a two-year term. The subsequent elections were held in December 2016 and November 2018, December 2020, December 2022, December 2024 and September 2025. The current Governing Body, elected in September 2025 has the following members.

5. General Body Meetings (GBM) of the Society are held on once in a 3 months. Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held between April and June every year. Last AGM was held in June 2023. All members are encouraged to attend these meetings. Activities of the Society are also intimated through Pamphlets which are issued from time to time. Circulars on matters of common welfare related issues are also distributed regularly. Regular meetings are also held with Omaxe Ltd and Shanvi on various day to day issues.
6. At present the Society has more than 250 members. The number of members is growing continuously. Subscription from the members is currently the only source of income for the Society. The Society conducts the following functions in the year from the Society fund,
(a) Republic Day Function
(b) Holi
(c) Independence Day Function
(e) Dussehra
In addition, Society organises the New Year Eve Function, Makar Sankranti, Navratri funded through individual contribution.7. Besides these, the residents, on their own, also organise community functions like Paushvada, Janmashtami etc. During the year various camps are facilitated by the Society for the welfare of residents as well as nearby villages.
The life in Omaxe City Phase-1 is indeed very vibrant and lively.
